Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Hormone Levels following Adrenal surgery
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I understand but these two ferrets can and do sleep together in hammocks an=
d sleep sacks and he will attack her (causing poo to fly, bottle brush tail=
and all).=C2=A0 Sleep in the sleep sack and attacks do happen in the same =
play time.=C2=A0 We have had Sprout for 4 months shy of 3 years and the lit=
tle girl 3 weeks short of 2 years.=C2=A0 A year ago he didn't attack her bu=
t maybe once a month now it has progressed to once a day.=C2=A0 We thought =
it may be related to adrenal disease.=C2=A0 When that was found during his =
exploratory surgery we thought that was the cause.=C2=A0 Now that Sprout is=
feeling better and has some weight back on he has started to go after her =
again.=C2=A0 He also has started picking on one or two other ferrets in the=
group.
=C2=A0
I thought I had heard somewhere that sometimes it can take a couple months =
for hormone levels to drop in ferrets after being fixed.=C2=A0 I was hoping=
that was the case otherwise we may have something else going on.
=C2=A0
Thanks
