Thank you so much , Pam Sessoms and Dr. Jerry Murray for the Percorten info, and Caity for the insulin info!

Percorten dose is 0.1ml to 0.15ml per kg.

Hilbert's the one who not only gets cystine uroliths (one of two here like that) but who also had severe bilateral hydronephrosis when young, so tricky balances...

When young he blocked completely before anyone knw that he personally needs a low protein diet (which has gotten him into his 7th year and he is someone who came so close to dying in his first year) due to the uroliths and also due to a bladder diverticulum. Back then his adrenals came out prophylactically because those huge kidneys had caused the adrenals to be badly inflammed from their rubbing but part of the right wound up under an emergency vascular clamp, and this year (his 7th) he began having a bit of adrenal disease. So, he has the combo of treating to prevent Addisons while also providing Suprelorin.

Today he is hospitalized on IV and sedation to prevent him removing the IV (which is one of his strong skills) through the day and night and then tomorrow we see if insulin may also be needed.

His chest today looked a tiny bit foggy in the mediastynum so that is being watched, too, and hoped to not be anything extra.

His 3 biopsies came back with 2 of things not posing any hazard, but a pea sized insulinoma (which could not be excised fully because it was right at an important part of the blood supply for the stomach). So, he had a major change in the circulating insulin.

If he needs insulin injectable then he'll get it.

I got 2 more hours of sleep but am still dopey and sleep deprived so will check that (and that is why it took a while for me to respond -- because I was terribly dopey for a long while and then finally got some shut eye).

This is obviously not the day for me to work on my late father's taxes as I'd planned to do, so I'll be dopey and mostly off-line doing less critical things.

Hopefully, this message is clear enough.
