Deslorelin is used as a prophylaxis re adrenal disease. Since I cannot tell=
you the names of people in this forum I communicate with contact the resea=

Unfortunately, research at the University whether or not deslorelin prevent=
s adrenal disease was discontinued because the drug became widely available=
and the University didn't renew the grant. However private research contin=
ues. The latest information I have is, so far the ferrets are doing fine, b=
ut it is too early to come to a definite inclusion for the simple reason th=
e drug hasn't been used long enough. We still have to wait a few years yet =
and see what happens to all those ferrets with implants. To this date I hav=
e not received any negative reports.
