Subject: [ferrethealth] GnRH Vaccine?

Hello my name is Stephanie, and I was directed here by another ferret forum with the hopes that I could find some help and good advice here.
I have two ferrets, Twilight (3 years) and Sora (7 months), who both see Dr. X. Recently Dr. X was telling me about a study being done on ferrets to see if a new vaccination could help to prevent adrenal in ferrets.
The idea of my ferrets being less likely to get adrenal in their older age is appealing for obvious reasons, but I'm having a hard time finding more information on these shots.
I'm basically trying to find out how safe it really is, and if it's worth the risk. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I apologize if I missed anything already posted- I couldn't find anything with a basic search through past messages, and I had a heck of a time using the archive (I don't believe I got any results, but I might have been using it incorrectly).

[Hospital and vet names removed according to the

things like study abstracts but not in relation to

There is a study underway by Doctors Mark Finkler
and Robert Wagner to study Gonadotropin Releasing
Hormone vaccines. This is still a new area of study
and they are the experts for current performance and
safety.
