I remember hearing gurgling noices on two of my sick ferrets, while I was f=
eeding them.=C2=A0 They didn't act grumpy but they did lose weight (from 2 =
lbs 5 ounces down to 1 lb 14 ounces).
=C2=A0
One had tenderness in the abdomen and a small mass.=C2=A0 He had surgery wh=
ich showed the mass to be=C2=A0lymphnode and the biopsies showed ECE (he al=
so had an enlarged adrenal gland I don't think it was related to his weight=
loss).=C2=A0 They never had the really green stools normally seen with ECE=
, they were only=C2=A0just a little bit green sometimes.=C2=A0 Their stools=
ranged from nomal to really=C2=A0loose and sometimes seedy.
=C2=A0
They also showed mostly or all one type of spore forming rod bacteria in th=
eir stool.=C2=A0 They received=C2=A0Clavamox for this.=C2=A0 Not sure if th=
is bacteria came before or after the ECE (we think after).
=C2=A0
We've been hand feeding them for several weeks and they are almost back to =
their normal weight (my wife and the vet say they're weights are=C2=A0norma=
l I say we have one to two ounces left to go).

I don't know if you are looking at ECE here or not, this is just what we sa=
w in a couple of our ferrets.
