Subject: [ferrethealth] Dermal hemangiosarcoma in a ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Cannoli has a lesion on his head - biopsy came back today stating it is a low-grade dermal hemangiosarcoma. My vet feels confident she excised it all - clean margins.
Has anyone had experience with one of these?
There is little in the literature on dermal hemangiosarcomas in ferrets. More common in dogs.
I am understandably nervous, because of its location (too close to the brain for comfort).
Thank-you!
Tressie
