Subject: [ferrethealth] dosage of lupron depot

So I've been reading through alot of posts and can't find my answer to this question. I'm dealing with how and what to treat my adreanl ferret. I have now inquired with Lupron Depot. Everything I've read says that the normal dosages of Lupron is b/w 100-500 mcgs no matter whether you do the 1,2,4 month depots. However after talking to my vet, she says that she was told by an exotic vet that she recommends doing an 800mcg dose the first shot then 200 mcg dose the second month (can't remember what was after that). I haven't read anything like that on any sites or groups and am wondering if this is common? Any help would be great. At this point due to the cost of the 800mcg lupron I've decided to treat my ferret with Casadox.
