I have always had an albino and have found them to be no more or less likely to get the usual ferret illnesses than other ferrets. I have never had a deaf albino or know anyone that has.
The confusion factor is that true albinos carry all the normal genes from their parents for color expression plus the albino gene. The albino gene prevents the expression of any color so it is impossible to tell if an albino is a carrying genes for sable or mitt or panda or whatever. The true genetic inheritance therefore cannot be seen so any risk of illness or disability associated with a particular coloration is not obvious to the albino's owner.
Breeders who keep good records should be an exception to this.
