Subject: [ferrethealth] swelling feet
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

hello everyone.
I would appreciate your thoughts and ideas on such situation...
I have 8 years old jill. She has some minor skin issues (2 small cysts on her head and neck) has sensitive trachea (you can hear her snoring when she sleeps or a noise when she eats) but other wise she feels fine.
Probably due to her age she sleeps a lot.
Yesterday she was sleeping more than usual. Actually I did not see her waken up but I kept an eye on her saw her yawning and etc. So in the evening I decided that's it's too much and decided to wake her up.
So I take her and her feet are swollen!
here you can see few pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/jone.smilgeviciute/20100426?authkey=Gv1sRgCNngkNuByaj0ag#

I'm absolutely sure this showed up only yesterday. I do check my ferrets every day. today her feet are a little bit better. I'm taking her to vet today, but before I'd like to get some ideas from you as well.

her front feet are also swollen but a bit less than the back feet. today the swelling is much less than yesterday. she walks absolutely ok and her joints are not painfull.

I suspect that this is something due to her breathing and maybe blood circulation problems, but have no clue what could be administered to help her...

thank you in advance

Jone
