I would be very surprised if this was the natural cause of this ferret's problems as 1 it was her first season and it appears only about 50% of young ferrets have trouble going through it. 2 she was given a hormone injection as soon as she went into heat the first time. We often have ferrets coming back into oestrus 2 3 and sometimes 4 times a year with out any health problems. In a young healthy ferret severe oestrus anaemia takes a few months to develop, I would suspect another underlying cause of this ferrets problems. Chris
