Hi Tressie, I thought reading the post that the first Jill Jab was given just after the ferret came into oestrus. If as you think it was months later then you could be right.

I usually leave my breeding jills for up to a month after they are fully in oestrus without any problems. Over the years I have left jills from three litters go through their first seasons without any treatment or health problems. I'm not recommending anyone do it, the first two times were in the 60s and I did not know any better but the last time was in 2006 and the were left untreated just to see how they go on. All three Jills from that litter are still fully fit. Chris
