I had it for one Ferret. It is a joke ! They say they will cover regular checkups and lab work and maybe a certain percent of preventive care procedures. Until you send in your reciepts to be reimbursed. They come up with all kinds of reasons not to give you a dime. I had a blood test to check his glucose level. Well it turns out since it was possibly Insulinoma they concidered it a preexisting condition, since (cancer/carcinoma/*.*) is hereditary in Ferrets. Therefore Nothing at all will be covered untill you have him Euthanized !
Dont Waste a Dime ! They like to string you along for 6 to 12 months worth of premiums before they give you their Final NOT COVERED !

There are many, many types of tumors.
Insulinoma is luckily much easier to
manage than carcinoma of the pancreas.
There is no proof at this point how much
of a role genetics plays in most of such
growths in ferrets.
