Thanks for the suggestions and support.=A0 Just a reminder he is already an=
d lupron and pred for 15 months already.
The rash did appear to be urine scalding (since he was only able to dribble=
it out).=A0 The vet felt his bladder and stated it wasn't completely full,=
but suggested x-rays so that we can look.
X-rays showed a very large bladder (pushing the intestines up) she recommen=
ded hospitalization so they can catheterize him.=A0 He stayed over the week=
end and they removed the catheter this morning stating he is able to urinat=
e much better,=A0 Sending him home with a bunch of meds, antibotics painkil=
ler, anti inflammatory, etc=A0 He also had pretty bad diarrhea when he was =
there which is why the additional stuff.
They stated that there wasn't much they could do for the enlarged prostate.=
=A0 I suggested finasteride and they stated they never used it for a ferret=
???=A0 I was very surprised.. They also stated they have no idea how to get=
the deslorelin implant (which again I want to try since the lupron is beco=
ming refractory).=A0 They also never used melatonin but again gave the impl=
ant at my request two weeks ago.
Vet just called me and recommended Flutamide or Casodex if he continues to =
have prostate problems. =A0=A0 I was getting worried that I knew more then =
they did.
