There are other pain medications (i.e., hydromorphone, oxymorphone, Tramadol, etc. ) that may work better to control her pain, at least to give her some relief from pain until you can determine the cause of the pain.
As an opioid, buprenorphine can cause nausea and constipation and may be contributing to her pain rather than ameliorating it.
