I don't think you are over-thining this at all.=C2=A0 Check your ferret's t=
ail closely.=C2=A0 Does he have little black spots on it?=C2=A0 If the answ=
er is yes, he probably has blackheads.=C2=A0 My guy Merlin had a bout of th=
at this year, and I washed his tail using a toothbrush, and Phisoderm once =
a day for about 10 days.=C2=A0 It really seemed to help.

[Moderator's Caution:
Always clear any medication use with the treating vet beforehand to
see if the medication is even safe for ferrets. Some may have sudden
problems -- like the way that ibuprofen and also acetaminophen
rapidly kill ferrets, while others may have longer term consequences.
There appears to be no vet mention of using the Phisoderm on
ferrets in the FHL Archives in 9 years so I can't be sure it will be safe
enough:

If you do not notice any little black spots on the tail, I would start lean=
ing toward adrenal disease.=C2=A0 He's in that window where they can start =
showing signs.=C2=A0 I would speak to your vet about this, and see what the=
best way to go would be.
Hope this helps.
Take Care,
Ann Grimm
