Subject: [ferrethealth] Wood Stove Pellets for litter

I am one of the many who has been using Wood Stove Pellets for litter for my
ferrets for years. When I looked closely at the new bag of the brand that I
have been buying predominately during that time I found that instead of
reading made from 100% hardwood sawdust, it now reads made from 100%
hardwood and conifer sawdust. I seem to remember there being an issue with
pine pellets causing a respiratory in ferrets. Is this combination a danger
to our ferrets? I have no idea how long ago this may have changed on this
brand.
