Hi Marie
Interesting question. We do not have that product over here, but the suggested
doses for those 2 medications are milbemycin 1.15 to 2.33 mg/kg and for praziquantel
5 to 10 mg/kg. Are you using this for heartworm prevention (Milbemycin) or to deworm
against tapeworms (Praziquantel)?
For a 1 kg ferret you could use 1/2 tablet of either product.
Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM

I'm trying to find the recommended ferret dosages for milbemycin oxime
nd praziquantel, which are used in combination in the wormer product
ilbemax. The tablet for small dogs and puppies contains 2.5 mg MO and
5 mg P. The one for small cats and kittens contains 4 mg MO and 10 mg
. Which one would be the better to use?
Marie

Do you know for sure that your ferret has worms? Have you taken him/her to your
et? I don't think ferrets usually get worms so I would be hesitant about
e-worming them without a vets recommendation. I am NOT a vet, just a concerned
erret owner of 12 years.
