References are just in order of easy of finding them, so
read all.
For the right type of adrenal panel and what that panel covers:

For a start on adrenal disease information:

[The above refers to the Lupron DEPOT, NOT
to the daily Lupron]

[The above refers to Suprelorin, the IMPLANT,
NOT ot the daily deslorelin.}

[Ditto, and all deslorelin and Lupron vet
posts DO refer to the time release versions
and NOT the daily versions.]

There are also plenty of past posts on some
of the serious complications such as
prostate enlargement, and anemia from
marrow problems, as well as ones on lesser
but uncomfortable complications.
Before using medications make sure that they
are safe for ferrets, of course. Some (not all)
of the ones that are unsafe can be read about
in the FHL Archives, too, and you can see what
others have safely used.
The FHL Archives can be linked to from the FHL
homepage in multiple places, including the
important addresses low on the homepage, and
in the introduction to the site.

Melatonin can help with adrenal disease BUT since
melatonin ALSO regrows fur in a way that has nothing
to do with adrenal disease people have to be careful
to not make assumptions based upon fur regrowth
with melatonin:
