You mean yellow-gold and loose stools but not
diarrhea, right?
In the archives since many people seem to use the
word poop I first tried
yellow poop
in the box for the message body and left the other
boxes empty which gets over 100 results but some
apply, for example:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/FHL7176
"yellow poop"
in quotes gets far 6 so you will want to read those:
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/SG7065
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/YG13196
and 4 others.
The separate FHL Archives can be linked to from
multiple places on the FHL website, or you can

To learn about understanding ferret liver test results
(and the results of a number of other tests) these
professional articles are essential since ferrets results
have different meanings than dog or cat results:

and
http://www.afip.org/consultation/vetpath/ferrets/PDF/Ferret_GI_path_reports.pdf

Now, greenish, yellowish diarrhea can be a different matter
because ANYTHING that causes the waste to pass through
more rapidly is also going to have that sort of coloration and
there are a range of things which can cause diarrhea,

http://www.miamiferret.org/poop_chart.htm

from coccidia (and ferrets get multiple genera of different sizes
so not only does the microscope have to be used on different
settings but it needs to be checked on multiple days usually.
ECE also causes runs, as does giardia, as does food poisoning,
and as do a number of other things.

Insulinoma can cause diarrhea which happens to look remarkably
like butterscotch pudding (Had to be my favorite pudding, right?)
but does not always do that.
