Subject: [ferrethealth] blindess in ferrets

i think hersey is going blind or might be blind all ready. hes doing a lot of turning his head like his trying to find where my voice is coming from. then last nite he waked in to that space next to the tolet when e heard me. that in its self is that strange most of mine do this. but when he turned to leave he hit his head on m leg. i got down on the floor and moved my hand in front of his face. sometimes he followed my hand. i cant see any catoracts but one eye seems darker and deeper than the other when i move my hand close both eyes will close. we are going to the to get him o melatoin so will get that checked too. i have had blind ferrets before and know they get along fine. just wondering if anyone else has other test i can try
