Subject: [ferrethealth] Diarrea question young ferret

My 5 month old ferret appears to have diarrea or based on what I've
researched possible colitis. I have many different antibiotics here for
my other animals and am familiar with dosing . I have probiotics also.
Does anyone know the best way to treat this and what to use for a
ferret. I have some metranydozole and Tylan antibiotics. I would think
this would work. Does anyone know the does for a young ferret?

[First thing first:
it is important to first try to find the cause of the
diarrhea. Not all diarrhea causes in ferrets are
cured by antibiotics, in fact, many are not.
Secondly, not all meds are appropriate for use
in ferrets.
