[There has been some confusion.

That post was in reply to

which was a response to Mike, but NOT a post of Mike's.

When he first lost weight we took him to our vet.=C2=A0 He found a mass in =
his abdomen which was painful to him.=C2=A0 We also suspected he was adrena=
l because of occasional increased aggression toward on of our other ferrets=
.
=C2=A0
He had surgery and found that the mass was=C2=A0a lymph-node and the biopsi=
es showed ECE.=C2=A0 No Lymphoma or not enough to for them to report it.=C2=
=A0 He also found that he had adrenal disease of his left adrenal gland and=
removed it.=C2=A0 He is not being treated for adrenal disease since the ad=
renal gland was removed.=C2=A0 It is possible that it came back and we have=
not noticed it.=C2=A0 His fur is slow to grow back where it was shaved.=C2=
=A0 Some has come back but not a lot but he has been fairly sick since.=C2=
=A0 Before surgery his weight was down to 1 lbs 13.5 ounces.=C2=A0 We got i=
t back up to 2 lbs 3.4 ounces but it dropped back down.=C2=A0 We got it up =
there again but it dropped again.=C2=A0 He has been hovering around 2 lbs e=
ven ever since.
=C2=A0
I'm not sure if we should consider the return of the adrenal disease since =
he had biopsies which showed ECE.=C2=A0 It is possible that a return of adr=
enal disease is hampering his recovery.=C2=A0 We had two other ferrets who =
had adrenal disease and both returned within a couple months (now those to =
have the Suprelorin implants).
=C2=A0
I'll ask about this possibility.

Do you mean that your ferret ALSO has adrenal disease.

Loss of appetite is not normal for adrenal disease.

There was also a mention of not treating. I assume that
it merely temporary while you wait for Lupron or
to arrive, or for a surgery date soon? Untreated
adrenal disease really is very hard on a ferret as per
