My Vet recommended doubling his pred levels to see if that helps. I'm also going to go out later and buy one of those things to test his glucose levels. She said any testing to see what's going on with him would have to be done an hour and a half drive away from me. Also, we wouldn't be able to do it today.
Are there any easier tests to see what is going on with him? He drank on his own this morning but otherwise he still just keeps sleeping and while he doesn't seem to be crashing he's still really tired and still doesn't seem to be interested in eating on his own.
Everyone's telling me different stuff and I just don't know which route to go. :( I want him to feel better but I don't have hundreds and hundreds of dollars right now to shell out on a ton of different tests.
[There is only one meter which is accurate for
ferret blood glucose levels, though other ones
can tell if the direction of the glucose is up or down.
To get reliable numbers you need the Alphatrak and
need to use setting 7
