Is the vet you deal with familiar with ferret illnesses
such as insulinoma,and were any blood glucose tests done?

What you describe sounds like it,
and if neurological issue is the only thing your Vet
has to say upon exam alone, I'd get a second opinion.

[6 months to a ferret is like 6 years to a person
so redoing the blood tests seems to make sense.
