I agree with Andrea.=A0

I had a ferret, Arte who did the same things as your Sprout.=A0 He was diag=
nosed by biopsy with a severe case of EGE.=A0 The ONLY way we could get him=
up and running was to give him a high dose of injectable Dexamethasone dai=
ly.=A0 It spared his stomach and perked him up in minutes.=A0 We paired thi=
s approach with Metaclopromide to settle his stomach and to get the GI movi=
ng again and approached him with different foods until we found what he cou=
ld tolerate.=A0 We also has to give BID doses of pain killers and pepto (he=
could not tolerate carafate) to keep him going.=A0 He lived 1.5 years afte=
r diagnosis.=A0 Do realize with the Dex you need to watch for diabetes deve=
loping.

My first ferret Tweek died of a GI lymphoma and diplayed the same symptoms =
as Arte did and was able to be supported nearly a year on prednisone.
=A0
Both cases presented as a helicobacter infection.=A0 Both cases were caused=
by food allergy and IBD.=A0 Tweek had undiagnosed IBD and Arte had a mild =
ECE, and turkey allergy that sent him over the edge.=A0 EGE can cause lymph=
oma.=A0 It took Tweek over 3 months to be diagnosed, it took Arte a month a=
fter diagnosis to perk up.=A0 I doubt Sprout is strong enough for an explor=
atory with biopsies but you could follow the vets thoughts and treat accord=
ingly.=A0 I found that with the above described treatment we used with Arte=
it provided quite a bit of pain relief.=A0 That alone may help Sprout righ=
t now.
