Is he still on the Pred?=A0 If not, I'd put him back on it since he did res=
pond to it initially.=A0 But if he is still on it, you may want to ask your=
vet about increasing the dosage.=A0 Yes, ferrets w/ lymphoma will respond =
to Pred at first usually (depends on how severe the lymphoma is), but you m=
ay be needing to increase it at this point, if it is lymphoma.=A0
My other question is, is Sprout eating just pureed chicken?=A0 Like just th=
e meat?=A0 I can't tell from what you wrote, but if that is the case, he ma=
y be missing alot of nutrients if he's not on a balanced diet.=A0 I know th=
at they can do fine w/ just meat for a certain amount of time, but if he's =
been eating only meat for a few months, he may be malnourished.=A0
I dont know how likely I would consider it to be a food allergy... if he's =
eating ok for a few days, then not wanting to eat, I dont recall that as a =
symptom of a food allergy.=A0 How are his poops?=A0 If it was an allergy or=
IBD, he would be having diarrhea.=A0 Not wanting to eat, I would consider =
that more from being in pain possibly (lymphoma?).=A0
At this point, I would definitely consider increasing the Pred (ask your ve=
t), and also, make sure he is getting a balanced diet... either thru kibble=
or Bob's Gravy... and staying well hydrated.=A0 What you can do with the k=
ibble, that will also help him stay hydrated too (which is very important),=
is to put some kibble in a little bit of warm water, add a couple of drops=
of Ferretone to it.=A0 The warm water and 'Tone should help it smell more =
appeasing to him.=A0
Are you updating your vet on how he's doing?=A0 What is your vet suggesting=
you do for him?
He sounds like one tough little fighter.=A0 Sounds like you guys are doing =
all you can for him.=A0 I would just try to focus on what has worked/what s=
eems most logical at this point... I wouldn't be adding too many different =
things into him because its makes it more difficult to be able to tell what=
is working and what is not.=A0
