Hi xxxxxxx,

Hyperthermia (overheating) can cause dark red pads, nose and skin. Dark pink/red can also be insulinoma as already mentioned.

How old is she? Older ferrets are less tolerant of heat.

Any rash on around her mouth or face - another sign of Distemper?

I agree that it is time for a veterinary assessment.
