Try mixing about 40% baby food, 40% water, 10% PLAIN canned pumpkin (no other ingredients in it) and 10% ferret vite (and maybe a little bit of ferretone for flavor) together to make a soup. Heat slightly to a little above room temp or so in the microwave. This will help get fluids and nutrition into him. He will most likely not just dive right into the bowl, so dab a little on his lips and teeth to let him know that it's food. This may not work the first time, or the second, but it will soon work. Then let him lick some off your finger, then from a spoon, then finally from the bowl. This may take a few tries, but it has never failed with our ferrets. Our soup recipe is a little more involved, but this basic one should help.
Also, when you get him eating some soup, then you can mix in some probiotics to help with digestion and to help relieve the diarrhea. Acidophilus, Forti-Flora, and Benebac are more common probiotics that are good and safe for ferrets, given in the proper doses.
