Nancy, here's what I found-it's NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory drug=
) Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc --effective in ferrets for chronic pain. Should =
not be given to pregnant=C2=A0 ferrets or those with liver/kidney disease, =
and can worsen gastritis. Nsaids=C2=A0 need to be given with food and (in h=
umans) doctors usually put them on Prilosec to protect the stomach(or somet=
hing similar to Prilosec) I would also get liver function tests every 3-4 m=
