This medication (Ketofen) DOES contain Ibuprofen???

I would talk to your vet about Tramadol, which is also used to control arthritic pain. It is a derivative of codeine. However, the oral form is terribly bitter and I would ask your vet about the injectible kind, which can be given sub-q. I'm sure your vet or a vet tech can show you how to administer it. I use super fine insulin needles (30 or 31 gauge) and the ferrets barely notice they are getting an injection.

I have used it a great deal for all kinds of pain in ferrets. I currently have two who are hospice care and are receiving it daily. Manages pain very effectively and is non-sedating.

[Checking made sense because some other NSAIDs like
