Subject: [ferrethealth] ferret eating cloth

i have taken this baby ferret in on a trial basis.
He is teething and he chewed a large quarter to silver dollar sized whole in his flannel hammock. He acts like it is not making him sick.
am on my way to get some ferret lax..
will that take care of the problem?????
also what can i put in his cage that is safe??? because of the chewing....
