Subject: [ferrethealth] young ferret bald spot on stomach

My 6 month old ferret has developed a small bald spot on his stomach not
too far from his penis area. He tends to clean or nibble under there.
Other than that he is perfectly healthy . He eats 8 and 1 Ultimate
premium food. On occasion we have noticed him scratching his ears so I
put some mineral oil in them. Could he have ear mites that are
gravitating on to his body as it can in canines ? Any ideas? What
should I put on it. It is not red or irritated. It doesn't look like
ring worm.
