Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Ferret emergency!!
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

I called three emergency vet clinics in town last night and none of them would take him (they don't treat ferrets). So I was on my own until this morning when I brought him in to my regular ferret vet. Luckily, Buster made it thru the night but still vomiting and diarrhea (black). I did get him to drink a little water and some duck soup this morning which was a good sign. The vet checked his blood sugar and it was 46 so he suspects he may have insulinoma. They will do a blood test as well. Also, he said he could feel a small lump in his stomach and is going to take ex-rays to see what it is and where, and then go from there. They did sub-q on him also since he was very dehydrated.
I will let you know what happens... Thanks so much for your replys.
