No. None of the above or any other things ferrets shouldn't have. The only things that come to mind is that it could be inherited or caused by antibiotics. She only ate premium ferret foods and treats, USA sourced freeze-dried chicken liver treats and sometimes Milk Bones for puppies as treats until the GI problems started. She stopped being able to handle N Bones, chew stars and fries several months ago.

I'm diluting her soup to the consistency of chicken broth most of the time and feeding every 5 hours but at times she won't take it. I imagine because it tastes mostly like water and she probably feels full. I'm going to try every 4 hours now in hopes of getting more fluid into her.

I read this and wondered how I could do the same with oral fluids. Ferretone now upsets her GI tract and she doesn't care for Ensure, which I thought maybe the sweet smell/taste would entice her to drink on her own. Something she isn't interested in doing. I've also tried adding a small amount of liquid vitamins, Ferretvite or Gerbers turkey to her water but no go. Were you using electrolytes or plain water orally? I remember reading something on the FHL about using electrolytes or mixing them with water and it causing an imbalance.

Thanks for your reply. I hope you feel better soon
