I view end of life issues as very personal to each of us. You know your
Loki best and whether or not he is suffering. I can share my personal
experiences of having had several of my ferrets die peacefully in my arms.
Leading up to their passing, I wondered if it was time to give them
assistance but in the end, the fact that they were not in pain and still
enjoyed their food, being cuddled, and curling up with their ferret friends
led me to letting them pass in their own time. At various points, all
needed assistance in mobility, eating and using the litter box, but they all
appeared comfortable and to get some contentment out of life. I have no
regrets. Others may have made a different decision than I did. We each
have to do what we think is best. I wish you and Loki all the best.
Lucie
