Maybe I should clarify my statements on treating
heart disease (in this case cardiomyopathy has been
asked about as a possibility) and lymphoma.

With lymphoma there HAVE been instances of remission.
Ferret lives are short enough that I don't know if they
can ever be actually called "cures". Usually, what is done
is the meds stall or slow the illness so that there is
a return to a quality life and more of it.

Heart diseases, at least the serious ones, are progressive
but treatment gives a return to quality of life and more
of it. Because the illnesses tend to be progressive adjustments
wind up needed as time goes on. Ultrasound is an
essential way to know best what to try and at what amounts.
Some other heart diseases can need other tests.
