Hi Tressie and others who may be able to help with information,

I have been going to a ferret specialist. Her name is [Removed per FHL rules] in Woodstock GA, which is an hour and a half north of my location. I have gone to see her twice now last week with his current conditions and have spent quite a bit of money and still am not seeing results, but I cant complain about that as ferrets are so confusing when they are ill.

I have another appointment with her tomorrow and I'm wondering what I should get done. Do you know what I would get better results with....a needle aspirate of the lung cavity (hopefully I won't lose him in the process) or an ultrasound of the chest/abdomen area. Again I need to find out why he is having problems breathing/getting oxygen. Do you know which would be more beneficial. And she quoted me 180 for the ultrasound but i'm wondering is that just for the chest area and is it another 180 for the abdomen...have you ever had an ultrasound done?

I'm going to email Sukie and ask her opinion as well. I will get both done if needed but am wondering if I do 1 over the other first will that eliminate the need of the other test?

Thanks,
Marcy
