Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Breathing problems - pneumonia or lymphoma or post-surgical complications?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Thanks for the info on the x-ray. Will see if our vet will be ok with that. My husband took him in today and his meds were changed once again - this time to trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole. He was also given a broncho-dialator. So hopefully that will do the trick. He's getting worse and his breathing is very difficult at times. It's just heartbreaking to see him this way, especially since I sort of blame myself for his having insulinoma surgery. Maybe it would have been better to just keep him on prednisolone considering his age (he's 6). He just seemed so happy and healthy that we wanted to prolong his life - not shorten it, which is what it appears we have done.
