Hi, Colleen and everyone else,
I don't know about the difference between ear cleaning products so I
will defer to folks who know more and let them answer your questions.
I do have a product to recommend: Sheppard & Greene Ferret Ear Wash
does a good job and was OKed by our vet years ago. If, for any
reason, what you have is not appropriate a small bottle of the
Sheppard & Greene product will last a very long time.
