Subject: [ferrethealth] an IBD approach that is working (at least so far)
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

We all know that IBD approaches can at times stop working after a while. When Hubble's was milder just plain ol' Carafate worked but now he has a new approach and it is so far working very well for him. It's not just Prednisolone. In addition he is getting subcu B12. The reasoning behind that is that damage to the small intestine can disrupt uptake of B-12. Apparently, this approach is used in some humans, too. The injections will be weekly for 6 weeks, then every 2 weeks for 6 weeks and after that monthly. So far, it agrees with him.
