Subject: [ferrethealth] Baking soda questions
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

BTW, I meant to write "seizures" but was thinking ahead and
instead wrote "clots" earlier so I am altering part of a
comment I had in another post.

I was unable to find any ferret info on the use of baking soda
for ferrets with kidney issues, and am interested if there
has been such work on members of Carnivora, but have
lacked time to look more closely due to some very demanding
issues for older family members recently.

Are there such studies in members of Carnivora?

When is it useful vs. when would it be a bad idea?

Counter-indications? Medical Conflicts?

grams/kg weight and dosing schedule?

I'm hoping for actual studies if possible but open to
reading and weighing other sources of relevant data.
