I just wanted to thank everyone for their tremendous help with Starsky. He unexpectedly passed away this afternoon. He was getting better so I'm utterly shocked and devastated. He was a sweet angel, a miracle boy who survived an attempt on his life at about 3 weeks of age. A farmer had put him and his brother, Hutch, in a sealed tin and threw them in a field, likely because they were both albinos and thus deemed unfit for hunting in England. A dog found them and alerted his people who took them to a ferret sanctuary. Sadly, Hutch didn't make the night, but Starsky fought his way through. We adopted him when he was strong enough, at 6 weeks. It's amazing he made it then. He was a lap ferret and a party boy all rolled into one of the most fantastic creatures you could ever come across. I've never met anyone who's appreciated life as much as Starsky. And he really helped me to appreciate life as well.

Thank you all so very much. I greatly appreciate your efforts.

The pathology came back as positive for insulinoma except one biopsy that was a neoplasm believed to be lymphoma. This was located I believe near the pancreas but I do not have the report as we had to travel to a different vet at a vet school to do the surgery.
