Subject: [ferrethealth] Vitamin B complex

I'm wondering if anyone has used a liquid vitamin B complex to aid in helping with diarrhea. I'm seeing a vet on Monday and wanted to discuss this with him as a possibility, since I've tried just about everything else so far without a lot of success. One of my ferrets has had diarrhea on and off for a month now, but you'd never know it from the way he still eats and still plays. No weight loss or any other symptoms, and he's continued to have it despite having gone thru a 10-day round of amoxicillin, immodium a.d. daily (0.2 mg every 12 hours), probiotics, and pepcid, all tried independently of eachother. My best guess is an over abundance of heliobactor, as the amoxicillin did help for the first couple of days of the 10 days it was given. I may have the vet do some x-rays (possibly barium), but we'll see after the exam on Monday. Anyway, I've heard of B-complex vitamins helping in some cases with diarrhea, and it would seem that the liquid variety would be more accurate to

told that it needs to be injected rather than
oral because the small intestine can become
less able to uptake this vitamin with some
