Thanks everyone for the info.
I ended up going to the vet and got an ear cleaning solution
from her (took the walmart one back-what a difference between the 2).
I love the idea of not using anything although....
I was worried because the boy is always scratching at his ear. There is no smell and there was no coffe ground looking mites but, you can see
some wax build-up. He is still scratching though and that worries me. I'm cleaning one more time and if he doesn't stop scratching I'll take him back.
