Glad to hear she is doing better.=C2=A0 Our weather got horribly hot for a =
few days here in San Francisco so I took a zippered pillowcase and laid fro=
zen flat reusable ice packs inside making a large layer with a towel on top=
inside in their cage with some light cotton t shirts over that.=C2=A0 They=
all slept splayed over it and seemed very comfy.=C2=A0 I cover their upper=
level completely for darkness so I felt this approach cooled the air too.

Just an idea.....best of luck to you all!

[In such a situation monitor and make sure
that what has been used is safe if the ferrets
chew or dig into it or open the zipper IF this
is not just plain ice.

Look in places like

Another trick is to put them in a cage in a small room,
Put sheets on top of the cage hanging down the sides.
put blue ice packs on top of those sheets out of reach
(If they can reach those then put them on a metal pan
that is not much larger than they are.). Wet the sheets
where they flow down the sides of the cage. Aim a fan
at the sheets and let it cause indoor evaporative cooling.

Rewet the sheet often.

Many people keep plastic soda pop bottles to freeze water
in in their freezers for when cooling can not be done
in other ways or the other ways are not sufficient.
