Subject: Re: [ferrethealth] Digestive problem
To: <brascoben@yahoo.com>

Yes, I am considering intestinal lymphoma, but hoping to find other possibilities. The vet took an x-ray on Monday and said there was a lot of gas throughout the digestive system, but not really liquid, which is usually more indicative of lymphoma (according to him). There were also no apparent blockages or furballs or any other obstructions or objects large enough to be seen on the x-ray. When I add in probiotics to his soup, his digestion is better. He's been on amoxicillin and baytril since Monday, which help somewhat, but only if I add in some probiotics (forti-flora). When he gets all 3, his poops are nearly normal, but subtract the forti-flora and they get very loose and seedy again. All of this started about 5 weeks ago, and he hasn't had good poops since. They usually are very seedy and loose, almost like a grainy pudding, and sometimes more liquid. So far no weight loss, no loss of appetite, and very little if any loss of energy.

Hi Jeff, If you have a ferret w/ digestive issues, I would (unfortunately) consider intestinal lymphoma as a possibility.
