Subject: [ferrethealth] Is c. diff. zoonotic?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have a houseguest who has an active c. diff. infection ( http://www.webmd=
.com/digestive-disorders/news/20080530/c-diff-epidemic-what-you-must-know=
=A0), and I have been trying to find out if this can cross to my ferrets (o=
r my cats, for that matter).
=A0
I have been unable to find anything online stating it crosses to or from an=
y animal other than pigs and cows, but neither have I been able to find any=
thing saying it doesn't cross to companion animals. A search on the FHL arc=
hives yields no info, either.
=A0
Anyone know the answer, or any other places to search for it? Thanks for an=
y help or info you can give.

[There are 75 posts on
Clostridium in the separate
FHL Archives. Just go to
http://ferrethealth.org/archive/
and search for posts containing
Clostridium
in the body of the message.
Leave the other two search boxes blank
for now. Then click open the ones
that interest you.
