Subject: [ferrethealth] ferretonin or suprelorin?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi there again,

First of all, thank you for the answer. I do think that my ferret needs an implant, but whatever I still dont understand is for what implant should I go? I read about it in the last weeks and I also spoke to my vet, I understood one is with melatonin and the other one with GnRH, but I still don't understand which is the best option and why would I go for one and not the other, since both of them treat adrenal disease. Is it just a matter of choice or are there other aspects I should take into consideration? Please advice me on this one.
I found out that in Romania I can only find Suprelorin 4.7 for dogs and I know it is fit for ferrets too. Ferretonin is impossible to find in Europe and I don't think anybody would ship it to me from USA.

best regards,

Roxana

[This is NOT an either/or situation.

The ferretonine implant can be used along with the
Suprelorin implant, just like it can be used along with
Lupron depot.

Suprelorin packs more punch than ferretonin.
