According to Dr Williams article http://www.afip.org/consultation/vetpath/ferrets/Mast/mastcell.html multiple mast cell tumors on a ferret aren't uncommon.

My ferrets' primary vet isn't very ferret experienced, so when Stimpy got a mast cell tumor on her head we just decided to monitor it. It never gave her any problems so we just left it alone. Of course, she also died probably about 6 months later from diabetes complications.

I see how Dr Williams says that mast cell tumors contain histamine so I was wondering is giving a ferret some children's benedryl when a mast cell tumor itches a possible treatment?
