We had a ferret named Dakota.=C2=A0 He had a long time period where he just=
didn't do well.=C2=A0 He was more of a couch potato type.=C2=A0 Usually re=
sting or napping and if not napping he was eating.
=C2=A0
His poops ranged from normal to mucousy, to tan and creamy, to darker brown=
.=C2=A0 We did blood tests and everything looked fine.=C2=A0 We did a cardi=
ac ultra sound that showed a mitral regurge but not bad enough to cause him=
to want to rest all the time.=C2=A0=C2=A0Once=C2=A0when=C2=A0he behaved mo=
re like a door stop than a couch potato we would take him in again.=C2=A0 W=
e did an xray and ultra sound and our vet thought that his lung looked like=
there might be something off there.=C2=A0 He got antibiotics and improved =
some but then after the antibiotics he slid back to couch potato.=C2=A0 We =
decided to do an exploratory the next week but over the weekend Dakota took=
a drastic turn for the worse and we had to help him over the bridge.
=C2=A0
We found out later that he had a lung infection and had lesions on his lung=
s and a couple on his heart.=C2=A0 There wasn't much we could have done for=
him.=C2=A0 If we knew about this infection he would have required some hea=
vy duty antibiotics (probably iv antibiotics) and they still may not have h=
elped.
=C2=A0
I don't know if your fuzzy has the same thing but ours never had a temp or =
showed any signs except for resting a lot more than he should, loss poops, =
and that x-ray that didn't really look very bad.
=C2=A0
I hope this helps some
